Following our successful appeals for Street Soccer Scotland in 2018 and the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in 2019 we are once again proud to present our Christmas Charity appeal.

In a year as uniquely challenging as 2020 there are an abundance of charities that deserve support to carry out vital work but we eventually decided to support Refuge this Christmas. Refuge is a charity that offers specialist support for those suffering domestic abuse, an issue we believed to be particularly pertinent with the rise in domestic abuse seen throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, with the first seven weeks of lockdown seeing a domestic abuse call to emergency services every 30 seconds. 

Refuge offers emergency accommodation to victims of domestic abuse, independent advocacy, numerous community outreach projects and a 24 hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline. Supporting more than 6,000 people on any given day Refuge is a key charity in helping victims of domestic abuse and one we hope we are able to raise a substantial amount of money for.
