15 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every day in the UK. Our #challenge15 events will enable us to provide more support, improve bereavement care & fund research to save babies’ lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October 2017 I gave birth to our daughter Violet Esme, Violet was born with no heartbeat due to the infection Strep B & Sepsis disease.

It's something I never imagined happening, especially during labour at over 41 weeks pregnant.

Losing Violet has taken a massive piece out of our hearts which will never be filled.

In memory of Violet I have decided to join the #challenge15 by SANDS.

Sands is a UK charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by the death of a baby; improve the care bereaved parents receive from health care and other professionals; and reduce the number of babies who do pass away by funding research and working closely with other organisations to create a world where fewer babies who sadly pass away. Sands provide research to health professions, memory boxes, leaflets & support to bereaved parents like myself.

I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible to help towards leaflets, support & most importantly memory boxes which are donated to parents who have lost there babies like us. Memory boxes are a comfort to us bereaved parents and although it will never bring back our babies it's comforting to know we are not alone.

Sands is a charity which has now become a charity close to hearts.

I'm not asking much all I'm asking is if you could donate a few pound, maybe the money you would spend on a morning snack you could donate and help Sands the charity carry on there expectational work they do helping save babies lives.

Thank you lots of love Grace xox
