As many of you know I have been eagerly waiting to do the London Marathon for 2 years now, this has been due to tendonitis in my hip which forced me to defer my 2019 place and then sadly I was unable to run again due to the pandemic cancelling the 2020 mass marathon. However, i'm pleased to FINALLY say on October 3rd I will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon for Ronald McDonald House Charities! 

The charity provides free 'home away from home' accommodation at specialist children's hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life. The charity has been helping families for over 25 years and currently has 12 houses that are available 365 days a year. 

It is such a fantastic charity which is very dear to mine and my families hearts. They gave so much when my little nephew was extremely ill in hospital with kidney cancer. I’ve wanted a chance to give back what I can as a way of saying thank you. What better way than to run 26.2 miles around London. The training is/has been tough and I would be lying if i said I wasnt nervous for race day but it has been a long time coming and it will all be worth it.
