Story

As a volunteer at the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals, I witness first-hand the quality care these horses receive and see the growth and improvement of the horses after their arrival at the rescue. Horses are incredible animals which deserve to have a good quality of life just like any other pet and animal, and the MSSPA is able to provide that along with your help.

Horses like Molly (pictured on the cover) deserve a better life. At MSSPA, horses get plenty of the quality hay and grain as well as excellent veterinary and farrier care. They receive lots of love from staff and volunteers. Many of them are adopted by caring people who provide the same excellent level of care while others live their lives peacefully at the River Road farm shelter. All of the rescued horses get the better life they should have had all along.

By supporting my Ride-to-Rescue, you directly impact the lives of rescue horses like Molly. Your generous gift provides a better life for those horses now and for other at-risk horses in Maine. Anything helps!

Thank you for helping the horses!
