ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into ME/CFS. Our funded research suggests that in excess of 400,000 people in the UK have ME/CFS but it is neither well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. We invest in the best research we can globally.

Story

For this year's 'Walk for ME', my lovely Mum and I will be walking for my best friend Sophie who suffers with M.E/CFS.

Like many invisible conditions, those who have it are rarely given the care and respect they deserve, by medical professionals as well as the wider society, as people can't see what is wrong with them.

The condition itself isn't currently well-funded in terms of research, hence why there is a lack of any effective treatment for those who have M.E/CFS. It's horrible to watch your loved one suffer with this condition, which is why projects such as 'Walk for ME' are so important.

It is one of my biggest wishes that through research programs such as those that M.E Research UK are developing, that effective treatments and ultimately a cure, can be found for this debilitating condition.

Any donations at all, or sharing the link to the page, would be greatly appreciated.
