Restless Development are a youth-led development agency. They are driven forward by young people and young professionals around the world working across 50 countries including India, Nepal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. They have extensive experience in highly effective development models led by young people in sexual and reproductive health, livelihoods building and civic participation. Restless Development is one of six organisations sending International Citizen Service (ICS) volunteers. International Citizen Service enables communities and young volunteers to learn from each other, tackle global issues and exchange cultures. Young volunteers also develop key life skills such as team-working, leadership, adaptability, communication and problem-solving.

I have the opportunity to join the ICS organisation and am a volunteering to go overseas to help and support young people. For this to be possible i need to Raise £800. One way i plan to do this is to get sponsor for me to go Unplugged. This means i will go a whole week with no phone, no internet, no TV and no other forms of technology to just give me a small taste of what it is like for some young people living in some of the poorest areas in the world.
