Why we hear you ask? 

In December 2019, Grace's darling mother (Kippy) suffered a catastrophic stroke at the young age of 62. The stroke should have taken her life, however, with what felt like a miracle she managed to pull through, though is now tragically unable to move her left side of her body and so is confined to a wheelchair. Our lives were turn upside and the effect on our family is immeasurable.

At times it feels like there is little joy or independence in Kippy's new routine, with the wheelchair feeling like a limiting obstacle. Nevertheless, once a week Kippy is transformed into a blissful state as she attends the White Lodge Centre and spends an hour in the hydrotherapy pool. Grace's mum adores the freedom of floating and the opportunity to move her body. This has been a major part in Kippy's development, and is one of the few things that keeps her active, mobile & happy. The Centre is celebrating it's 60th birthday this year, and is in need of a refurb of the hydro pool.
