Story

5 weeks ago I had my arm twisted to take part in a new challenge.

Joining a bunch of other 'Nissan nutters' in trying to cycle from Cranfield to Sunderland over a weekend. Now for all you regular cyclists and keep fit fanatics you're probably laughing over the mere 260 miles that we're all attempting, but when you're more like Mr Blobby than Mr Wiggins the hard stuff starts.

I bought a road bike from that world renowned auction site and have been regularly getting up at obscenely 'early o'clock' (5am) to wheeze my way 25 miles into work. Then reapeat the painful ordeal when I manage to shake loose the shackles of Nissan responsibilities and be tucked up in bed by 9:30pm (most unlike me I'm sure you will agree). Then for a double measure of pain, I have been trying to get out on the bike at weekends for the odd 80 miles or so.

So if you're inspired, or more likely concerned, by the thought of me wheezing my way to Sunderland at a less than spritely speed then why not donate and support a great cause?

Thanks, Graeme

PS I will be roughing it camping too.
