Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Year 2013 is the 25th Anniversary of my sister Lorraine's death and in her memory I aim to raise £25,000 for Arthritis Research.

Lorraine was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis a few weeks before her 14th birthday in 1970 and sadly after an 18 year battle passed away in September 1988 at the age of 32. She was the perfect sister and a massive influence in my life.

Also, last year I lost a great friend who sadly had the same condition as Lorraine. Tom Wilson devoted much of his life to youth football, he was associated with Salvesen Football Club for over 60 years despite suffering Rheumatoid Arthiritis for 30 plus years. A man I greatly admired and miss dearly

After seeing first hand the pain and suffering both Lorraine and Tom experienced I want to help Arthiritis Research and decided to take on a unique fundraising challenge of Drinking No Beer for a Year.I can only do this with your help and respectfully ask you to consider making a donation to this worthwhile cause
