Team: Remembering Mike Sherry
Stuart and I completed the swim on Sunday 25 August 2013 in 12 hours 43 minutes. I have included some of the photographs and a link to an edited video on this page. Isabel Sherry has asked me to pass on her sincere thanks to all of you who have so genoursly donated to this worthwhile charity. I hope now she understands the high esteem Mike was held in by his friends and colleagues. In addition there is a facebook link below, that has additional photographs.

It's still not too late to donate if you still haven't got round to doing so.

Until his untimely death as a result of a brain tumour in January this year Sergeant Mike Sherry was a fit and healthy 52 year old man looking forward to being a grandfather and imminent retirement. For those of us who were fortunate enough to know Mike his death was a huge shock and a loss to the police service. His widow, Isabel has kindly given consent to celebrate his life and to raise money for his nominated charity, “Brain Tumour Research” which was launched specifically to raise funds for brain tumour research.
Since Mike’s death I have been seeking an opportunity for former colleagues to collectively acknowledge his contribution to policing.
It is my intention to attempt to swim (non stop) the entire length of Loch Lomond, some 22 miles, in late August this year. I’m told this equates to running six road marathons back to back!
