Decembeard 2017
Campaign by Bowel Cancer UK (RCN 1071038)
Dads, brothers, sons, nephews, grandads, uncles – we need you! Give hope this December by growing a beard and raise money to support vital research and lifesaving work to stop bowel cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The facts are around 100 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every day, that is approximately 1 every 15 minutes.  It is the UK's 2nd biggest cancer killer - every half hour someone dies of the disease.

1 in 16 people risk developing bowel cancer in our lifetime.  Raising money will help with research to find a cure.  For this reason I have decided to join the recruits to the current 'beard' movement.

For 31 days I shall no longer be a slave to the razor. I shall endure the scratchiness of a new beard - peppered in grey - until the time I can shape it into a luxuriant facial adornment.

Please sponsor me as I journey through the 'George Clooney' beard - short, clipped and designed through to the ultimate - probably resembling something like  'Delboy's Uncle Albert', I shall be posting the photos for all to see.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
