Story
Welcome to my London Marathon page.
Running a marathon has been one of my goals for as long as I can remember. With 13.1miles being the maximum distance I have conquered so far, to double it by running the London Marathon is going to be a huge challenge for me.
Cancer is a part of everyone’s lives and 99% of us have lost friends or family members to the disease but as a parent of two young children, the thought of them being diagnosed with cancer is almost unimaginable! That is why I chose Young Lives vs Cancer to run for. They do some amazing work for the heroic children and young people who are living with and fighting the disease.
I would like to train and get through this challenge while raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer to help make young people and their parents’ lives just that little bit easier. They offer financial, practical and emotional support to Young People and their families during this time.
As we all know, living costs are rising but so is the cost of cancer treatment and it just adds to the worries that cancer naturally brings. Some parents are currently having to choose between putting the heating on or putting petrol in their car to travel to hospital for treatment, which is a dilemma none of us should face.
Please give what you can to help ease this burden for the amazing young people living with this disease. Young people with cancer should never have to worry about the cost of treatment and anything you give will help.
Please check out the Young Lives vs Cancer website for yourself (link below) to see the phenomenal work they do for yourself.

I will be uploading all of my training runs to this page so you can see my progress, along with during and post-run photos which should be entertaining during the depths of winter! Please follow me on Strava directly too, just search for me in the ‘find friends’ section.
Thank you so much for your support.
