Graham's "Wheelwrights" Coast to Coast offroad bike ride

Wheelwrights coast to coast offroad cycle route · 16 May 2014
The offroad coast to coast is a classic long distance challenge inspired by Alfred Wainwright's walk it passes through 3 national parks. There are some incredibly challenging sections such as the Black Sail Pass and Scafell and as you will see below the overall height gain over the entire ride will be 26,710 ft!!! Hurts thinking about it (Everest is 29,029 ft).
To give you all an idea this is roughly the route we will be following, the route is all offroad and at times extremely remote:
Section 1 - St Bees to Eskdale 29 Miles 3600ft height gain.
Section 2 - Eskdale to Troutbeck 24 miles 4445ft height gain.
Section 3 - Troutbeck to Shap 18 miles 3500ft height gain.
Section 4 - Shap to Keld 30 miles 3600ft height gain.
Section 5 - Keld to Danby Whiske 41 miles 3460ft height gain.
Section 6 - Danby to Blakey Ridge 31 miles 4675ft height gain.
Section 7 - Westerdale to Robin Hoods Bay 38 miles 3430ft height gain.
