Story
Hi again.
So after a few postponements, I'm finally running the Manchester Marathon on October 10th.
It will be my fourth marathon in total, with the aim being to beat my previous best official time of 3.44. Training has been going well, I've cut out eating meat and drinking alcohol until after the event, so hopefully, I'll be able to get a PB.
While running faster is my own personal goal, the more important element is to raise as much money as possible for Shelter. They help millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services. They campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to them for help.
Homelessness is on the rise and desperately needs tackling to stop more and more people from being forced out onto the street. As our government doesn't deem this to be a priority, I felt I had to do something to help raise money for those in a far less fortunate position than I am. It is an issue that needs urgently needs addressing, so please, give a little something if you can.
I've got just a few weeks to go, and hope I can make it without collapsing, shitting myself, or both. Wish me luck!
Thanks
Graham
