Bryson's was founded in 1947 and is a no-euthansea independent rescue and rehoming centre for horses, dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. We vet all potential homes and all animals are neutered and vaccinated.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  It's especially for a little 8 year old girl from Great Lumley called Lily Willis who goes to school with my daughters Lucy and Erin.

I am competing in Tough Mudder, a 13 mile long assault course which includes an array of difficult tasks including running through a field of live wires with 10,000 volt electric shocks!

Enough of me though, let's hear about Lily, the reason behind this.

Lily was unfortunately recently diagnosed with bone cancer in her leg but has undergone major surgery to replace the bone and remove the tumour.  She is now in the middle of another course of chemo to destroy any further cancer cells in her body.  The 14 hour operation was successful and Lily now has stainless steel limbs and a joint in her right leg.

Lily is always thinking of others and has actively started fundraising for various causes including the one I have chosen which her Mam Tori has confidently informed me is her favourite :-) Bryson's Animal Shelter.  Unlike a lot of charities, almost all funds raised go directly to this worthy cause rather than getting caught up in administrative costs.  Please dig deep to support this cause for Lily, a truly inspirational little girl who always thinks of others before herself and is dedicating her time to raising money for charity, whilst coping with gruelling chemo and hospital stays.

Follow the links below to find out more about Lily and the event I will be competing in.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So again people, please dig deep and donate now.

P.S. We are also collecting via boxes at various locations, this money is directly for Lily so contact me directly via facebook if you'd like to donate this way.
