My Dad Chas, has spent his whole life within the construction industry, starting out as a carpenter and joiner, and then progressing to a construction Site Manager, which is a position he held for the majority of his career.

It was in the middle of 2017 my dad first became ill, which at the time we thought was a chest infection. My dad had always been a strong, and physically fit man, still carrying out the carpentry duties to what is a large family, well into his late seventies.

It was following several hospital visits that my Dad was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, which is a form of cancer caused by asbestos.

My dad peacefully passed away at home on the 5th July, surrounded by family.

He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
