Story
As a Board member of Who Cares? Scotland, I participated in a fundraising trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal in November 2009. Young people aged 14-21 from across Scotland, together with adult supporters, took part in the trek. We expected the trek to offer life-changing experiences and we were not disappointed.
As a volunteer, I funded my own travel but I have been raising money to help with Who Cares? Scotland's costs for the young people and for our funds and also for work we are doing with the village school in Chite Tilahar in collaboration with Doug Scott’s charity, Community Action Nepal. CAN is involved in sustainable health and education projects in poor hill communities in Nepal. You can follow the story of our trek and learn about our broader work in raising aspirations for looked after children in Scotland - known by the slogan, Reaching Higher - on our blog here.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
