Giving is the best therapy  ! Cancer at some point in everyone’s life will visit you, whether that is a family member, a friend or yourself. It is always there in the background and is not fussy at who it will visit next. 

I lost my lovely sister, Lesley Clarke, last year to a form of cancer that was extremely aggressive and she was taken from us in days. It was completely unexpected and it is fair to say our close knit family is still recovering from this loss. I have had a few dark moments in the 18 months since she left us, but she would have wanted us all to carry on and be happy. In her honour I will be walking the full length of Hadrian’s Wall in November (84 miles in 7 days) with my son Jamie. It is the least I can do as she gave me so much in many ways.
