The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

A couple of weeks ago my Mum Sylvia told me she was planning to take part in a 140ft free fall abseil to raise money for The Christie. She is almost 75 and has never done anything like this before. Within 24 hours she had formed a team which included my son Liam, 19 and my nephew Ben, 17. We are all extremely proud of them although slightly apprehensive about what she might choose to do next :)

Mum was herself diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago but thankfully has been succesfully treated so we now know more than ever how important it is to raise money to fund research at The Christie.

I've set this page up on her behalf because whilst she is capable of doing a 140ft abseil she has no clue about the world wide web and it would be a challenge in itself trying to teach her :)

Thank you for your very much appreciated support and Good Luck to Mum, Liam and Ben.
