Story

Mum was my Inspiration, my guidance, my home....and I feel lost without her. When Mum was  still around I raised funds to help various cancer charities, she was very proud of my efforts and she was the sole reason I pushed myself.Having cycled London to Paris a couple of years back, in 3 days, I thought I needed to step up the challenge. Its not fair of me to ask all my friends and family to donate, unless I step up the challenge. So I've plotted the course, convinced a few amazing friends to join me, and now the aim is London to Paris in 24hrs.We'll set off from The Royal Marsden in Chelsea in the late afternoon Thursday 21st May with the aim of catching an overnight ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe. The first leg is only 60ish miles, so shouldnt take us more than 5 hours, remember to pace ourselves.

The ferry is a long one, at 6 hours. This also limits the amount of night riding we have to do. Which as you may know is a big thing for me, after being knocked down in October 2014 at night.Arriving in Dieppe in the morning, we then have a 120 mile ride to get to Paris 24hrs after departure. This should be doable if things are paced well, but you never know what happens until the day is over.We also have a filmer/photographer coming with us, who will be documenting the whole thing for us. So I want to thank you all in advance, and please dig deep. The Royal Marsden gave amazing care to Mum during the many years she had cancer.
