I'm fundraising for Alzheimer Scotland

Dundee Kiltwalk 2024 · 11 August 2024 ·
Team Reid (twins Andrew and Grant, and father Ian) are taking part in their very first Kiltwalk in 2024. They will be completing the Mighty Stride (21.5 miles) of the Dundee Route on Sunday 11th August 2024.
The cause
Team Reid are fundraising for Alzheimer Scotland, Scotland's national dementia charity.
Over half of people living in Scotland who have dementia suffer from Alzheimer's disease (an estimated 90,000 people). Like many other families in Scotland, we have witnessed first-hand the cruel and indiscriminate nature of dementia and Alzheimer's disease: our Pappy lived with Alzheimer's disease until his death in 2007, and our Nanny is currently living with the disease under care. We know many more people within our family and social networks with lived experience of the disease or in supporting others through their illness.
Why the Kiltwalk?
Walking has been a common activity that we each enjoy individually and communally:
We felt that the Kiltwalk would be a good opportunity to raise money for charity while bringing us together for family time.
