OUR NEXT FUNDRAISING EVENT IS A SPONSORED WALK AT THE END OF JULY 2012 TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION. THERE WILL BE ABOUT 12 OF US DOING A WALK SIMILAR TO WHAT WE HAVE DONE BEFORE - FROM ALTOFTS TO NEWMILLERDAM. OUR CURRENT TEAM MEMBERS ARE; CHARLOTTE SPAWFORTH, SARAH WHALLEY, JEAN COTTON, JANE BARWISE, CAROL COX, CAROLE CONNEELY, NICKY MARRAN, CAROL BOWLES, SHELLEY DAWSON, KATE PRESS, SARAH BLACK, STEPH MILNER BUT IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO JOIN LET ME KNOW.

OUR TEAM NAME AGAIN IS GRANVILLE'S GROUPIES IN HONOUR OF MINE AND SARAH'S DAD WHO HAS THIS DREADFUL TERMINAL DISEASE.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE DISEASE IT IS A PROGRESSIVE FATAL ILLNESS THAT CAN AFFECT ANY ADULT AT ANY STAGE, EVERY DAY 5 PEOPLE IN THE UK DIE FROM MND AND EVERY DAY ANOTHER 5 ARE DIAGNOSED WITH IT. THE CAUSE IS UNKNOWN AND THERE IS NO CURE, THE ONLY OUTCOME IS DEATH. SO NOW YOU CAN SEE WHY I WANT TO RAISE MONEY FOR THIS WORTHY CAUSE, TO HELP PREVENT OTHER PEOPLE SUFFERING AS MY DAD DOES EVERYDAY.

PLEASE HELP US BEAT 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 & 2011'S AMOUNTS RAISED - APPROXIMATELY £1,700 EACH YEAR.
