We got this Great North Run for Prostrate Cancer

Great North Run 2024 · 8 September 2024 ·
This year I am running for my DADDY . When dad got his diagnosis I was devastated and could not stop crying . I was there to support dad but it was him that was supporting me and telling me it was going to be ok . This is just the kind of man he is .
After dad diagnosis he had regular checkups and his PSA levels we checked . The PSA level became worrying and the decision to remove his prostrate was made . He had his prostrate removed but we did not get the news we were hoping for . Dad’s PSA levels were still really hight and worrying . This could only mean one thing it had spread to his bones . Dad is now on medication for the rest of his legs to keep the cancer under control and this medication is working at the moment. He has regular check up . The down side to the medication is the side effect. Dad is in so much pain and some days it just get all to much for him . But in true dad style he will not let it bet him . This is just the kind of man my daddy is .
Keep on fighting daddy . We love you . We got this .
I'm running the Great North Run for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
