I'm running the Great North Run for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's one dad, partner, brother, grandad, or mate. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.

This run is in memory of my father in law George Weatherstone and everyone lost or living with prostate cancer, including a member of my family at present. George was born and raised in North Shields - so this makes the run extremely significant and poignant. All cancers are evil and cruel - watching someone close to you deteriorate painfully and slowly from cancer is something no one should ever have to witness. I want to contribute to essential research.
