Story
On Sunday 13th September we are running the Great North Run for Prostate Cancer UK in memory of our Uncle Chris.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Uncle Chris will remember his wonderful sense of humour, quick wit and determined attitude, all attributes we admired him for over his decade-long battle with cancer. These are qualities Uncle Chris tried to instil in us, always pushing us to do hard things, such as encouraging Emma to pick driving back up after many scared tears and a year of using Vicky as a free taxi, so we know he would be so proud of us for taking on this challenge. Whilst we won’t be including sprints up Tankerton slopes in our training plan, we are both training hard to raise money for Prostrate Cancer in the hopes that one day a cure will be found for this horrible disease. Any money you can spare to go towards our cause would be so deeply appreciated, thank you ❤️
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with 1 in 8 being affected by it. The earlier it is found, the easier it is to treat.
