Story
In September 2026, I will be taking on the Great North Run in support of Prostate Cancer UK - a cause that has become deeply personal to me. In July 2025, my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He has recently undergone treatment and we are hopeful and positive about the future. However, hearing that news puts everything into perspective. My Dad has done so much for me throughout my life, and this run is a small way that I can show up for him, as he has always shown up for me.
This challenge is also for the many others affected by prostate cancer - including some of my closest friends whose loved ones have faced the same diagnosis. If anyone knows me, putting my self forward for this run is no small feat, but I want to raise funds to support the work that Prostate Cancer UK does in research, awareness and support.
Every donation, no matter what size, helps to make a difference. Thank you for your support - for my dad, your loved ones and for everyone impacted.
