Manchester Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

So in 2020 Covid come along and ruined a year of racing. It did however mean I got to complete plenty of virtual racing and of course my own marathon for both Manchester and London marathons respectively.

2021 is now here and I will continue running for Alzheimers. Who knows what will happen with racing but so far the plans are; run every day in January, the London Landmarks half marathon, Spartan trail and sprint races and of course the Manchester marathon.

I'm pretty sure more challenges will present themselves so bring them on.

Alzheimer's society is a charity that is very close to my heart. My Grandad was diagnosed with Dementia after we realised he had been starting to lose his memory. The Dementia spread rapidly, eventually effecting his communication, memory and cognitive ability. My grandad was someone who loved to tell his stories and was very active with painting but all of this stopped and it effects the whole family to supply care..eventually he passed away.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.

Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

So please, sponsor anything that you can as I take on these races and challenges👍🏼 thank you.
