The Great Georgian Challenge · 28 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Throughout May 2020 we are asking the whole Georgian Community to take part in The Great Georgian Challenge by running, walking, cycling or scooting in aid of the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Appeal.

To take part in the challenge, you will need to:
  • Complete a Run, Walk, Scoot or Cycle over 1.5km, 5km or 10km
  • Donate what you can to NHS Charities Together via this page
  • Share your achievement with the Georgian Community and beyond by emailing challenge@stgeorgesweybridge.com or using #GreatGeorgianChallenge on social media.
  • Visit www.stgeorgesweybridge.com/who-are-we/challenge-complete to download your certificate and virtual medal

We have set up a club in the 'Strava' app. If you would like to track your exercise using this method, we invite you to join the SGW Sports Club.

Strava profile privacy settings:
In the interest of safeguarding, pupils and students using the Strava app should ensure their privacy settings are as follows so that their location is not shared with those outside of the St George's community:

  1. Profile page - can only be seen by followers (once selected - applies to all points)
  2. Group Activities - can only be seen by followers
  3. Activities - you can choose to keep these completely private or share with followers
  4. Fly By's - Allows you to see where you may have crossed paths with other users - you can turn this off so no one can see your routes

When completing your exercise, please adhere to the current government guidelines regarding social distancing and exercise.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
