We undertake global conservation work to ensure people and nature both thrive

Story

The Great Glen Project:

3 epic challenges in 3 diverse and distinct disciplines, completed as part of a campaign to inspire change in how we see ourselves and how we interact with nature. A test of the limits of human performance and a testament to the beauty of the Scottish Highlands.

The Project will consist of:

-  A 500kg Powerlifting total (Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift).

- A 120km river & loch swim from Inverness to Fort William.

- An ascent to the summit of Ben Nevis.

Completing these 3 tasks individually takes a huge amount of mental and physical power and endurance. To complete them all within the space of a week is an entirely different challenge.

The setting of this adventure bears great significance to our cause. The Great Glen Way and its highland surroundings are one of just a handful of beautiful and truely wild places left in the UK.

With the help of volunteer cinematographers from Majo Media Productions we will be documenting the incredible scenery we pass through in an effort to raise awareness of these awe-inspiring places and the importance of their protection.

WWF is at the heart of global efforts to address the world’s most important environmental challenges: safeguarding the natural world, tackling climate change and encouraging people to only use their fair share of natural resources. Together we can build a symbiotic future where people and nature thrive as one.Your support is much appreciated. Find out more by visiting wwf.org.uk
