As you may know, my wonderful dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in July 2022. Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease for both the patients and families so I have signed up to run the Manchester Half Marathon in May 2024 with the aim of raising £300 for Alzheimer’s Society. I’m not sure how far I can run but I do know that if my dad can face Alzheimer’s with a constant laugh and smile and huge bravery, then I can challenge myself to running 13 miles for a great cause.
