Jonny Rankin and Rob Sandham are running 110k through Yorkshire from Dalby Forest to Spurn Bird Observatory in March 2022 as part of the Champions of the Flyway effort to raise funds and awareness for Birdlife International to protect Turtle Doves across their migration routes.

The run links a breeding stronghold for the species (their most northerly in the UK) and Yorkshire’s migration hotspot Spurn Bird Observatory over which Turtle Doves return from their wintering grounds on their perilous journeys.
