Story
I will be running the Great North Run on Sunday 10th September for Alzheimer’s Society.
I’ve never attempted anything like this before, so I could do with as much support as possible from my family and friends!
Alzheimer’s disease is devastating and can be heart-breaking not only for those diagnosed, but for those closest to them, who love and care for them, always.
People with Alzheimer’s lose their most precious assets… thoughts, memories, relationships and personality traits that define who they are.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia, to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
This is a cause close to my heart and any contributions whatsoever, however big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
