My grandad, Nobby Stiles was my best friend, hero and definitely the best grandad any grandchild could ask for. 

Unfortunately, like many other footballers he suffered with dementia. A cruel disease, that as many know only gets worse and not only robs the memories of the sufferer but also their families and carers. 

As a girl that famously hates running, I’ll be running in memory of him and for all those suffers and their families.  We  can be the cure.
