Great Ocean Road Charity Cycle Challenge · 12 October 2010
So with just two weeks notice, no bikes and no training/ preparation... Caroline and Iain have decided to cycle the Great Ocean Road and hopefully raise some funds for charity along the way.
We are going to cycle 400kms from Warrnambool to Melbourne in five days. For those of you who know us, you will know that this is a MASSIVE challenge... particularly given that neither of us have owned a bike in about 10 years and we didn't really give ourselves much time to train!
We can put it in perspective by considering that the Tour De France is an average of 150km per day (3,200 km over 21 days). Whilst we are hardly cycling the alps... the Great Ocean Road does have it's fair share of hills!

Thank you for all of your support... we'll let you know how it goes.
If we raise our target amount.... Caroline will cycle as SUPERTED for 100kms!
