Story
My journey started a year ago when my son was diagnosed with autism, he started a group at Willoughby school, and now attends an assessment class. As a parent i can not express how Willoughby has not only improved and created a better quality of life for my son. They have supported me as a parent through a unexpected journey that I find myself in. I would like to help towards the current fund raising project to purchase projection equipment to create a sensory experience onto classroom walls and to develop the play area with new learning equipment, such as wheelchair accessible roundabouts and swings.
So as jacks dad simon I have decided along with three of my closest friends, Adam, Wayne and Steve to embark on "the great ride for Willoughby", a sponsored cycle ride, from Lands End to John O'Groats in September 2014. This journey is approximately 1000 miles and will certainly challenge us as inexperienced bike riders who have just began a hard training regime, with "special" shorts!
We are extremely pleased to be able to give to Willoughby School and hopefully, through monies raised, provide the Staff, Children and parents, with happiness the much needed equipment will bring.
Your support is very much appreciated and what ever you can give will bring us a step further to helping the School achieve their goal.
With grateful Thanks
