Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

My name's James Lloyd-Stuart, I'm the co-founder of Grecian Heating & Electrical. I work alongside my lovely wife Jessie and beautiful daughter Darcey who helps out wherever she can.

Building a successful local business isn't easy. Skill, dedication, pushing through and strong family support is needed; much the same as taking part in the Great West Run!

I'm proud to be participating with a wonderful support network behind me, enabling me to raise money for the Adam Stansfield Foundation.

The Adam Stansfield Foundation was created in memory of Exeter City Football Club player Adam Stansfield, after his death in 2010 to bowel cancer.

The Foundation was created to help raise awareness of bowel cancer and end the stigma attached to it, but also to give back to the local community's youth in a productive way.

All charitable funds go to young people and youth football teams in order to help them live their dreams and achieve their potential where they may otherwise have struggled.

The Foundation aims to keep Adam's memory alive through the dreams they support and the children whose talents they boost, and by pushing for a greater understanding of bowel cancer so that hopefully, in the future, it can be eradicated entirely.

Jessie & Darcey will be supporting and encouraging me through training, something I'm sure I'll need on those days when the road ahead seems long - I can't wait to see them cheering me on during the half marathon itself!

Any donations you can offer to help support this amazing charity would really be appreciated! If you can't donate, sharing this page would also be an amazing help - thank you.

About the charity

We aim to promote community participation in healthy recreation, for the benefit of children and young people up to the age of 16 residing in Devon, Herefordshire and Somerset by the provision of grants and facilities for playing football while also raising awareness of bowel cancer.
