Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

I’m running 10k (6.2 miles) on September 26th at Blenheim Palace as part of the Cancer Research Run10k series and as before I have chosen to run for The Bobby Moore Fund.

So 10k... not a lot for a seasoned runner but not having run much over the last few years I’ve become unfit, out of shape and overweight so it’s significant distance for me! Training for this event will kick-start me into action and if I can raise some money for charity at the same time that must be good a thing and will give me the determination to reach the end!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
