Story

I’ve always wanted to run the London Marathon, and I've known what a difficult challenge it will be. I plucked up the courage to apply and decided that if I'm going to run this far, I’m definitely going to do it in support of a great charity. Mencap is that charity & I feel honoured to be running on their behalf.

I chose to run with Mencap because one of best friends Matthew (pic of us above) attends the Harrow Mencap and is always telling me about the great things he gets up to, and the amazing staff that support him. You can learn more about Mencap here: www.mencap.org.uk

How your donation helps:

  • £25 can help pay for 5 calls to our helpline helping parents to access practical and emotional support from the moment of diagnosis
  • £50 could give children with a learning disability an opportunity to play in a fun environment for an afternoon.
  • £100 could pay for a variety of specialised sporting equipment giving children the chance to participate in an inclusive activity.

I look forward to the many miles of training and the race-day itself. A huge thank you to all who support me on this adventure! 😊
