I am running the London Marathon to raise money for this amazing local charity who provide end of life care for those who need it and offer the most tremendous support to the patient and families alike .

My Nan spent her last days there , bless her , where she was made as comfortable as possible , surrounded by an amazing team, who worked tirelessly to ensure her final days were dignified and in the company of those she loved.

When my Nan  passed , I remember my dad thanking one of the male nurses ... thank you never seems enough for the work they do .... this is my time to give something back on behalf of my family and in memory of my beloved Nan.

More recently , my sister’s mother in law spent her final days here too , again where she was cared for and my brother in law and sister were able to be with her in her final days . This bought them great comfort.

St Michael's provide all of their care for FREE, but to enable them to do this, they rely on fundraising events like this to raise the funds they need to continue to do such amazing work.

It costs them over £5 Million a year to support families living with terminal illness and only 10% of this is funded by the NHS, so please, dig deep and help me raise as much money as possible for this brilliant and invaluable charity that needs our support now, more than ever!!
