Greg Rusedski's #HomeCoach 2.6 Challenge

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create The 2.6 Challenge.
I want to do my bit and I have chosen to support Greenhouse Sports, a charity that uses inspirational sports coaching and mentoring to engage and improve the life chances of young people who may be vulnerable, disengaged or facing disadvantage. Despite the current challenges, Coaches are finding new ways to deliver inspiring content to help keep young Londoners and their families healthy and active through the new #HomeCoach programme, and let them know they're not alone.
I was fortunate enough to visit a few school programmes early last month and see for myself the impact they have on the participants – from that moment I knew I wanted to do more and have been developing different ideas.
In the meantime, this is where my 2.6 Challenge comes in: I am going to cycle 26km in under an hour, then round off the weekend with some ‘friendly’ competition against Lord Seb Coe where we will both be attempting 26 shuttle runs.
Check-out twitter and Instagram to see how I get on and please donate whatever you can to Greenhouse Sports to support their work with young people across London.
