At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

“Oh no! Greg’s not doing ANOTHER sponsored cycling event, is he?” I’m afraid so. This year I have entered the Prudential RideLondon 100-mile event. Not the most challenging event, perhaps (I did it last year, the highlight of which was shouting abuse at Boris Johnson whilst climbing Leith Hill in Surrey) but a great opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause

As many of you will know, I lost my Mum to cancer (myeloma) three years ago, and in the last year my Uncle Jim and my football teammate Roger both lost their brave fights against cancer. As traumatic and upsetting as this has been, I can’t imagine how much more difficult and devastating it would be to be the parent of a child suffering from cancer, so I have joined the team from CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people and their families. I am aiming to raise a minimum of £750 to help them continue their great work. Many thanks for your support – don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box. Greg
