Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for Raleigh International in honour of my friend, James Sanford, who was sadly killed in a cycling accident in January while out on a training ride. James was himself a volunteer with Raleigh International and being a charity close to his heart, James’ friends and family have decided to try and raise money in his memory
James was somebody who really understood my competitive spirit, so I really wanted to win a race in his honour. With so many different little races around it was proving difficult to find the right one to choose and then I thought, why worry about beating a couple of hundred people when you can beat thousands? And have now decided that running the London Marathon on April 22 would be the best tribute. And hopefully with your support, you can help make this jog around London mean so much more. But just because this a charity run, doesn’t mean I will be taking this easy. I intend to run fast because if James is up there somewhere, watching me from above, I want to leave no doubt that I am still faster than him. J
Thanks for your help,
Greg
