Canterbury to Rome · 7 June 2007

Canterbury Cathedral has stood for 1400 years and is special to people across the world. Your support will enable us to: protect the awe-inspiring architecture; conserve the dazzling stained glass; develop our world-class music; and engage and educate visitors.

Story

Dear Friends,

We have completed the journey! However still chance to help the cause as this page will accept donations until October. Therefore feel free to help me pass my third target  now at £5k, for Save Canterbury Cathedral and East Kent Hospices, both amazing representations of the human spirit.

A group of rather lovely ( if slightly mad?) Canterbury folk cycled the Via Francigena for c 1200 miles  crossing the Alps via the Grand St Bernard Pass, leaving Canterbury on 10th August and arriving  in Rome on the 26th.We climbed an amazing total of 64,000 feet to get there!

Any amount of money donated will be wonderfully welcome, help relieve some of the pain of the Grand St Bernard Pass but most importantly aid these two wonderful charities.

Please help if you can and let me lasciarlo prendere i vostri saluti a Roma!

Thank you in advance for  your support! Grazie.
