Story

After the success of the Peak District Challenge in 2019, in which we raised nearly £4,000 for the NSPCC, we are now well rested enough to do it all over again, this time with the beautiful scenery of the Lake District.

On Saturday 11th June, a team of 20 from Griffiths & Armour will be heading to Kendal to take part in a walk, over distances of either 28km (c. 17 miles) or 49km (c. 30 miles). To give you an idea of how much walking that translates to, the walk in 2019 took around 12 hours to complete and around 66,000 steps. There will be stunning views along the way and at the end, a photo finish, medal and glass of fizz before a BBQ, drinks and a well-earned sit down!

Those taking part in the walk this year are: -
Holly Hughes, Joe Williams, Megan Chubb, Phoebe Evans, Tom Mason, Belinda Farrell, Carl Whittam, Chloe Murray, Edward Dunphy, Gina Charles, Henry Sterling, Holly Quine, Madeline Davison, Matthew MacLaren, Nick Farrelly, Peter Maher, Simon Keenan, Tanya Winstanley, Toby Spence & George Gardner

Hot on the heels of the walk, on the 3rd July, a number of the Griffiths & Armour team will be taking part in the Liverpool to Chester bike ride, over distances of either 50 or 100 miles. Both rides will be pretty gruelling and riders will expect to be in the saddle for around 7 hours whilst cycling some well-known routes around the North West, including through one of the Mersey Tunnels.

Those taking part in the ride are: -
Roger Moore, Joseph Williams, Des Kelly, John Lanyon, Martin Lee, Charles Hayward, Henry Sterling, Pete Mullany, Sally Mullany & Holly Quine.

Both challenges are taking place to raise money for a great cause, the NSPCC, and any support by way of sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.
