Ian Jones, Julian Griffiths & Jeff Fish  are taking part in 10 Y Fan 2020 to raise funds for Holibobs Children's Cancer Charity who are dedicated to providing holidays for children diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. A holiday or break away for families in these circumstances is essential as it provides time away from the hospital and scary treatment regimes. Time spent as a family in these circumstances becomes crucial, every moment of happiness, every laugh, every smile, every adventure provides strength to cope with what may lie ahead one day at a time. 

The Challenge - on 9th May 2020 we will attempt to climb Penyfan a total of 10 times each within 24hours, starting at 6pm on the Saturday evening, climbing throughout the night and the next day until we have all completed a total of 10 climbs each.....approx 40 miles of unforgiving mountain. 

Training has begun and to say that Penyfan is bleak in these winter months is an understatement. What seemed like a great idea for a fantastic charity (and still is !!) has now turned into the slow and painful realisation of the enormity of this challenge. It’s not for the feint hearted and will probably be one of the biggest physical and mental challenges we have faced.
