Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We all know that getting outside regularly, and doing some exercise can really help our mental health.

But sometimes it can be really hard to keep going..

So to make me more accountable, I'm raising money for Time To Talk Mental Health UK, a charity that makes such a difference to thousands of people.

I aim to walk 1000 miles in 2022.

It’s less that 3 miles a day, which isn’t massively hard…. But every day?

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Time to Talk Mental Health UK is a fully private and confidential Facebook Community. We are open 24/7 and volunteer moderators support our members from 9 am until 10.30pm every day. The community is highly interactive and fully moderated. We provide a safe place for people to talk about their mental health in confidence with others who understand. In addition, we provide events, regular clubs and a library of resources. We also run a wellbeing programme entitled "Positive Minds". This includes a varies of resources and events to help our mental ill health. The community enables consistent support, which is otherwise lacking in the mental health care package. Quotes from our members: "You are all amazing thank you so much for your support". "Thank you for your commitment and making a lovely, safe community for us all". "I am a very private person, this group is the only place I can express myself. I don't say how much I have suffered over the last two years, - there has been so much support from you all." "Thank you for all your support the other day - honestly it means a lot. I have got help coming for me and I appreciate all your support".
