Story
I’m immensely proud to have been selected to be part of Trek for kids 2021, highly excited by the team challenge and passionate about supporting Save the Children. My core motivation for taking part is to do what I can to help children who need it most. I feel privileged to be part of the team and grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Trek for Kids is a global fundraising adventure from the GSK and Save the Children partnership. Each trekker must commit to raising £4,500 for Save the Children and every penny raised will be matched by GSK.
In March 2021, I will be part of a team of 40 who will trek more than 100km in the challenging foothills near Sapa, Vietnam. Experiencing stunning mountain views, dramatic rice terraces, meeting ethnic hill tribes, and seeing first-hand the important work of Save the Children in Vietnam.
I'm a keen long-distance runner and walker and commit to continue with my current regime with appropriate additional training required, in order to be in the required physical and mental shape to complete the demanding challenge.
I intend to use long-distance running, walking and other events which I will adapt based on the current Covid-19 situation, to raise awareness of my participation in the trek, my commitment to training, my personal fundraising target and information related to the charity.
