As a parent, leader, and employee of Girl Scouts, I know firsthand the benefits that the Girl Scout program provides. I have seen kindergarten girls form amazing bonds and friendships that will last them a lifetime. I have also see these girls become leaders in their own way; gaining courage, confidence, and character through Girl Scouts. 

Some would say a $30 membership is nominal. However, we know that for some families there is no nominal fees, rather fees can be a monumental financial barrier. We believe the Girl Scout opportunity should be available to all girls no matter their circumstance. Every Girl Scout, new or returning, has the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts through our financial assistance program. Our Council provides support for membership, program and camp fees, troop dues and uniform costs for any girl who needs it. Girls can be part of as many or as few programs as they wish.
