Singing as One · 24 May 2020

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

An amazing 91 Singers  drawn from Grand Union Community Choir, Songbirds, Flitwick Singers and Tring U3A 'Singing for Fun' proudly sang together on Sunday May 24th as part of a 2.6 Challenge 'Singing as One' to raise money for Parkinson's UK.

We performed our own 'virtual' marathon, warming up then singing 26 pieces, one for each letter of the alphabet, commencing with 'A Little Bit Of Love' written especially for the 2.6 Challenge by Graham Kendrick and arranged by Craig McLeish.

Everyone who took part sang with joy, encouraging each other with their smiles to 'keep singing'. We crossed our finishing line after an hour and 15 minutes, vocally tired but happy,  having sung our hearts out!

Our thoughts remain with those known to us who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's and with all those working hard to find treatments and hopefully a cure.

Thank you, once again, for your support.
