Story

For the past couple of years, a little island called Guernsey has been my home. In just under 3 weeks, I will be running the Guernsey Marathon for a great cause – to help raise funds for Guernsey Motor Neurone (GMN) – a charity I have had the pleasure working close with since the start of 2021.

Guernsey is a unique place, boasting just over 60,000 residents, many of whom are expats. In addition, to pursue careers and further education, a lot of locals often move to the mainland UK or further abroad. This means that not everybody on this island has their full family and friends network to lean on for immediate support. And for anyone who’s had the displeasure of experiencing a loved one with this disease – you know how much support is required.

This is where the amazing people at Guernsey Motor Neurone step up, offering support, sourcing and leasing equipment to on-island sufferers, and making donations into research. They truly are an amazing group of people, and I’m proud to be running to help support their efforts.

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated!
